What this actually is
My Digital Desk is the front door. The apps are the rooms. Behind both is the Personal Digital Operating Platform™.
Rather than forcing every feature into one enormous application, the desk connects a collection of focused, independent apps. Each does one thing properly. You choose which ones you want, and the desk holds them together.
The apps
There is a working suite already, and more arriving. LinkSpaces™ for everything you hand out. HometownSocial™ for the place you actually live. MyDaily™ for knowing what matters today. MindCast™ for catching an idea before it goes.
Alongside them: calendars, contacts, files, bookmarks, projects, publishing, networking and revenue. Some are here now. Some are being built.
The platform
PDOP is the part you never see. It carries your identity, your information and your connections between apps, so you are the same person in all of them and nothing has to be typed twice.
It is also what lets new apps be added — ours, partners', and things that do not exist yet — without rebuilding what you already have.
A working picture of your digital life
As you use it, the platform builds a practical understanding of your goals, your projects, the people you deal with and how you work. Not a copy of you — a useful working representation of your digital world, which is a more modest claim and a far more useful thing.
